Troy Man Arrested for a Stabbing on Central Avenue

A 33-year-old Troy man has been charged in connection with a stabbing that occurred early Saturday morning on Central Avenue.

On Saturday, October 14, 2023 at around 2:15 a.m. officers responded to the area of Central Avenue and Henry Johnson Boulevard for reports of a stabbing.  Upon arrival officers located a 42-year-old man with a stab wound to his lower back. 

The victim was treated on scene by emergency medical personnel and transported to Albany Medical Center Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Through the investigation, detectives determined that the suspect in reference to the stabbing was Teyona Lewis.

Lewis was charged with one count of Assault 2^nd.

He was arraigned in Albany City Criminal Court and Released.
