Schenectady Man Arrested for 2022 Shooting Incident in Albany

A 22-year old man has been charged in connection with a shooting that occurred back in September 2022.

Felipe Ermolenko was arrested on Wednesday following an investigation by detectives from the Albany Police Department’s Criminal Investigation unit.

On Friday, September 2, 2022 around 12:00 a.m. officers responded to the area of Manning Blvd and Lark Drive for reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers located evidence of gun fire and a 23-year-old female who sustained a gunshot wound to her back.

The victim was treated on scene by emergency medical personnel and transported to Albany Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

Through the investigation, detectives determined that Ermolenko fired rounds from a 9mm handgun multiple times at the victims vehicle.

Ermolenko has been charged with one count of Attempted Murder 2nd and one count of Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd.

He was arraigned Wednesday morning in Albany City Criminal Court and remanded to the Albany County Jail.
