Man Who Recklessly Drove Car with Woman on Hood Arrested
ALBANY, NY – A 20-year-old Albany man who drove his vehicle while a woman was clinging onto the hood Friday afternoon is in custody.
On Friday, June 2, 2023 around 12:15 p.m., Albany police officers responded to the area of Henry Johnson Boulevard and Livingston Avenue for reports that a man was driving a blue colored Chevrolet Cavalier with a woman on the hood of the car. Shortly after the call, the vehicle was located by officers parked unattended in the area of First and Judson Streets.
The driver, Bishop Fraser, was located nearby and taken into custody. It was determined through the investigation that Fraser had operated the vehicle in the area of Henry Johnson Boulevard and Livingston Avenue at a high rate of speed while a 19-year-old woman was on the hood.
No injuries were reported during the incident.
Fraser has been charged with one count of Reckless Endangerment 2nd and is scheduled to be arraigned Saturday morning in Albany City Criminal Court.
The Albany Police Department has also been in contact with our law enforcement partners at the New York State Police in reference to this incident and more charges are possible.
