
Man Who Damaged Restaurant’s Statue on Lark Street Arrested

ALBANY, NY – Albany detectives have charged a 37-year-old Albany man with damaging a statue in front of a restaurant early last month on Lark Street.
Jordan Michael was arrested Wednesday evening following an investigation by detectives from the Albany Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Unit.
On Wednesday, April 5, 2023 around 8:00 p.m., officers responded to Villa di Como, located at 288 Lark Street for a report of vandalism. Upon arrival, officer learned that a man walking on Lark Street intentionally damaged a statue in front of the restaurant by pushing it over and causing it to shatter. The damage statue has an estimated value of $6,500.
Through their investigation, Albany detectives identified Michael as a suspect in the incident and took him into custody Wednesday in the City of Albany.
Michael has been charged with one count of Criminal Mischief 2nd, a Class D felony.
He was arraigned Thursday morning in Albany City Criminal Court and released on his own recognizance.
