Firearm Recovered During Search Warrant

On Tuesday, November 7, 2023 around 1:00 p.m., detectives from the Albany Police Department’s Community Response Unit stopped a vehicle in the area of 900 Lark Drive in reference to an ongoing investigation. The driver, Peter Addison, 37, of Albany was taken into custody.

In addition, detectives executed a search warrant at a home on the 100 block of Clinton Avenue near South Swan Street in reference to the investigation. During the search warrant, detectives recovered a loaded assault rifle.

Addison was charged with one count of Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd and three counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd.

He was arraigned in Albany City Criminal Court and Remanded to the Albany County Jail.
