Albany Police Officers Recover Loaded Handgun, Drugs During Domestic Related Incident
Albany police patrol officers recovered a loaded handgun, drugs and currency during a domestic related incident that occurred early Sunday on Second Street.
On Sunday, January 9, 2022 around 5:05 a.m., patrol officers responded to a home on the 400 block of Second Street between North Lake Avenue and Judson Street for reports of a domestic related incident. Upon arrival, officers discovered that a man inside the home was in possession of a loaded .38 caliber handgun, a quantity of crack cocaine and over $6,000.
Samuel Robinson, 48, of Albany, was taken into custody and charged with one count of Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd, one count of Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd, one count of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd, one count of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 5th and one count of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th.
Robinson was arraigned this morning in Albany City Criminal Court and remanded to the Albany County Jail.
