Albany Police Officers Recover Loaded Handgun on Clinton Avenue
ALBANY, NY – Albany police officers arrested a 26-year-old Albany woman and recovered a loaded handgun following an incident that occurred Monday morning on Clinton Avenue.
On Monday, January 3, 2022 around 11:00 a.m., officers responded to the area of Clinton and Lexington Avenues for reports that a woman was in possession of a loaded handgun and that she had just pointed the handgun at a man near that intersection.
Shortly after the call, officers spoke with a woman believed to be the suspect on the 400 block of Clinton Avenue between Lexington Avenue and Robin Street who was subsequently identified as the suspect. A loaded .40 caliber handgun was also recovered by the officers.
Quanesha Wallace was taken into custody and charged with one count of Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd.
She was arraigned today in Albany City Criminal Court and remanded to the Albany County Jail.
