Albany Police Investigating Benson Street Shooting Incident

ALBANY, NY – Albany police are currently investigating a shooting incident on Benson Street.

On Sunday, September 5, 2021 at approximately 7:30 a.m., officers responded to Benson Street between Quail and Ontario Streets for reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers located a 16- year-old male who sustained a gunshot wound to the leg.

The victim was treated at the scene by emergency medical personnel and transported to Albany Medical Center Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
